Becoming Rich in America.
Making You Rich
Introduction.
One dictionary definition of being "rich"; is as having plenty of possessions.
Get out of debt stay out of debt.
If you had a million pound given to you, what would you do with it? I occasionally ask this of people and say that if you know what to do with it; then it would give an indication of your future.
On the one hand if a person answers by saying that "I would put it in Income Bonds." Then I know they would be more prosperous in the future. On the other hand if they responded with "I don't know" then it is possible that they would lose it all and never be prosperous.
Clearly, to be rich in the global sence one has to be out of debt. So that if one was out of debt and had a £1000, one would be rich.
In "The Meaning of Investment in an age of Plenty" by Louis Ginsburg; in the early part of the book he points out that most westerners live by "live now; pay later". But investers who are rich "pay now; and live later".
How to Make Wealth.
Getting down to it.
When I was a baby that had been born a coeliac and known as the poor little boy; my mother
would often have people give her 10 pence pieces or whatever to help me. This she would then
put into a post office account for me. This grew.
I personally did not know anything about wealth or money or power at a very early age it was
only when I asked my dad for pocket money of 10 pence a week that I became aware of money.
We then had an auntie in Farnborough that died whom I met only a few times that was then that
the sense of wealth began to have any meaning. Mum went on a Mediterranean cruise.
Even when I went to New Zealand, the idea of wealth did not bother me as I was more
interested in adventure. It was only when one day I thought I could do with a bit more and other
people were talking how they were making it that I casually asked at a conversation at work
how does one make money?
The particular lady that I was talking to at the time then said do you have $1000? So I said no.
She then said aim toward making a $1000 in your bank account and you will then be on the
way to wealth.
SO YOU DO NEED A GOAL. Travelling over into Aussie land one then becomes more aware of
wealth as many young men had been upnorth and had worked 6 monthes none stop and
became aware of their own particular wealth.
Having then been to Aussi a house became available to me in UK which meant that I could get
married and live.
I then made one attempt to make money.
Having been a motor mechanic in a garage it became fairly obviouse that "out there" there was money to be made because when cars broke down it was always "out there". So I started a mobile engine tunimg business and went out there. I was only after 7 and 1/2 years of struggling that I realise that one could not make a fortune at it. One does not make a fortune WORKING.
So the first thing is to have a goal of making or saving to a £1000. So you have £1000 to play around with.
If you have a loose £500 you can become involved with Income Bonds but you will need to keep the Tax man happy.
