They wanted to reproduce themselves as God Beings. This was their experiment. They KNEW however that because they both had FREE WILL; that they both could do good OR evil; that their experiment was going to have problems. This was because their off spring regardless if they were angels or humans could NOT handle this type of power. So they had to have plan "B" where one of them (the logos) would die and be raised again and so get rid of that problem or "pay for the sins of the off spring".
Their first action was to create the third Heaven; this is the orb with a sea of glass. This was over 7000 years ago. As we know it Space and Time have always existed.
Their next action was to create Angels on the surface of the third heaven. Remember they KNEW that this was going to go wrong, Lucifer was a lier from the start. Basically he said that he would obey God and did not.
Gods next action was to create the Earth. This was about 7000 years ago. The angels were delighted with this.
Lucifer was placed in control of the Earth. He however only had one ambition and that was to take over Gods position as the center of the Universe, and destroy the humans that were on earth then. So Lucifer started to sway 1/3 of the angels over to his way of thinking.
The result was an attack from Lucifer and his angels from earth to Heaven which was repulsed. Lucifer and his angels lost a lot of power and were reduced to an invisible status. This was about 500 years after the creation of the Earth.
Lucifer then caused the human forms on the earth to destroy themselves with Atomic Bombs. The Earth became formless.
One thousands years after God created the Earth he sent the Logos to come down and reform the surface of the earth.
It was on the fourth day that God filled the vast empty (with the exception of the earth and third heaven) universe with trillions of stars. So the CONTENT of the universe is only 6000 years. Some scientists have used this part of creation to try and explain the "Big Bang" without a power source.
Lucifer now Satan was once again ready to jump in again and cause the same destruction. Eve was the next target. Get Eve to disobey God and he has scored again.
Simply put God had told Adam and Eve (Gen. 3:2) NOT to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and NOT to touch it. Satan, speaking through the snake gave them a mixture of GOOD and evil.
The good part was that Satan had said "Did God say that thou must not eat of the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil"? The next part was the EVIL. Satan said a lie. "It is NOT true that you will die, you will become as gods...."
Eve believed the lie and caused both her and Adam to eat of the tree, as well as touch it.
They had broken God's instruction they had to die.
Fortunately Abel (Gen.4:4) did obey God and produced his best.
After multiple numbers of people, it was Noah (Gen. 6:8) that was the next to obey God.
This was followed by Abram (Gen. 12:4); Isaac (Gen. 22:2) and Jacob (Gen. 25:26).
Esau (Gen. 25:26) was the next one to show contempt for God by selling his birthright and has been trying to get it back ever since.
Judah (Gen. 29:35) has created mystery and confusion.
Joseph (Gen. 37:2).
Moses (Ex. 2:10) wanted to see God face to face.
Ephraim has become as the stars of heaven; along with Manasseh and the rest of the Tribes of Israel is achieving God's experiment of reproducing themselves. (Gen. 49:19-20).
Joshua (Joshua 10:12-14). God demonstrates his power to stop the earth going round.
