Other versions of "day"

3. When does a Hebrew Day begin?

A Hebrew-calendar day does not begin at midnight, but at either sunset or when three medium-sized stars should be visible, depending on the religious circumstance.

Sunset marks the start of the 12 night hours, whereas sunrise marks the start of the 12 day hours. This means that night hours may be longer or shorter than day hours, depending on the season.

4. The "Day" is purely a technical term to identify which cycle of the earth in calender time one is referring to; i.e the 14th cycle or the 15th cycle or whatever.

5. DAY. A 1000 year period or the "Day of the Lord" Rev.20:4-6 which is a thousand years of LIGHT.

DAY. A day has 12 hours at the spring and autumn equinox. John 11:9. Day starts at sunrise and finishes at sunset. This includes morning and evening Gen.1:5 last part. This also includes the Hebrew Day Day

PASSOVER. A period in the middle of the (moon) month with a full moon that enabled the Isralites to see their way out of Egypt. The 15th night which followed the 14th day at sunset. It is a night of unleavened bread Ex. 12:8 and a night to be much observed Ex.12:42. Because the Israelites had the blood of the lamb on the doorpostes, God would pass-over them. Passover in brief. Day; Fifteenth.Science.Night precedes day, over 2000 times.--cd100.

SABBATH . Once the sun has set on Friday, the Sabbath NIGHT starts for a period of 12 hours this is followed by the Sabbath Day. Sunset Friday to sunset Saturday is the Sabbath. A period of rest.

Gen. 1:4. And God divided the Light from the Darkness.

How did God divide the light from the darkness? He divided the Dark period from the Light period by calling it "MORNING" and at the other end; the Light period from the Dark by calling it "EVENING". Two very short periods of light.

You want proof that Evening is part of Daylight?

Deut. 16:6 Even at the going down of the sun.

Josh. 10:26-27 Even--going down of the sun.

Jer. 6:4. Shadows of evening stretched out.

1 Sam. 30:17 Evening of the next day.

Gen. 1:5

Gen. 1:5, And God called the LIGHT Day and the DARKNESS he called Night.

God himself lit himself up with a brilliant LIGHT. This was NOT sunshine this was GOD SHINE. The sun was created later. He then could have said that "the evening and the morning were the first LIGHT".

In other words, evening and morning are periods of LIGHT.

Many people have not understood the first chapter of Genesis, in particular Gen.1:5.

God did not say that Midnight to Midnight was day.

God did not say sunset to sunset was day.

God did not say sunrise to sunrise was day.

God did not say midday to midday was day

God called the LIGHT part of the system day, that is when the sun is shining. This is from sunrise to sunset. This includes evening and morning. The rest is darkness which he called NIGHT.

When God lit up the earth and started to rotate the earth, in the 24 hours of rotation he caused TWO states. One was 12 hours of night and the other was 12 hours of daylight. It is the second part of Gen. 1:5; And the evening and the morning was the first day; this is where evening and morning are inclusive states in the 12 hours of daylight.

There is no such thing as a Hebrew day of 24 hours of daylight between two sunsets.Otherwise the earth would be in perpetual light.

The "Day" is purely a technical term to identify which cycle of the earth in calender time one is referring to; i.e the 14th cycle or the 15th cycle or whatever.

Night comes before day and this is shown in Ex.16:24 where God was re-establishing the Sabbath day period because they had forgotton it in 400 years.

Unfortunately in some Bibles the word "heaven" is sometimes put down as "heavens" with an "S". In the first place God did not create heavens he created ONE Heaven, this was followed by the Angels then the earth. It was only later in the reformation that God created the Sun Moon and Stars. On the 4th day.

Suffering

Why does a good God allow suffering?

Lets start this off by saying that originally God did not want anyone to suffer. He only wanted to reproduce himself. What people do not realise is that God, the one that created this vast universe is not only a GOOD God but that he has within himself the capacity to do great EVIL if he so wants. The intention of the evil is to direct peoples mind to going back to doing GOOD.Let us also keep in mind that God also has free will and he wanted his off spring to have free will.

Also keep in mind that when God created the Angels they were also created perfect beings but in addition had free will to do good or evil. It was Lucifer that was the one that decided of his own free will to be a lier from the start and try and take over Gods domain;that is going Lucifers way and not Gods, no doubt causing suffering with 1/3 of the rest of the angels. See The Story.

The suffering caused by Lucifer and his rebellion against God is shown in the destruction of the surface of the Earth in the first part of Gen. 1. In other words Lucifer/Satan chose freely to do Evil, and so cause suffering.

God, knowing that his instantaneous creations or off spring produced problems then used man or the system where gradual power is given but still having the ability to freely do good or evil. Adam was also influenced to go Satan's way and not Gods.

Satan for the last 6000 years has deceived people that it is God who has caused the suffering, whereas it is Satan that has caused it.

If we created beings did not have free will then we would be Zombies, and God wants us humans to apprieciate what a superb being HE is.
